Banyak yang sering
bingung dalam menggunakan dua kata ini. 'Bored' adalah sebuah kata sifat
yang menjelaskan perasaan seseorang yang tidak senang atau tidak tertarik. 'Bored'
berarti bosan dan digunakan dalam kalimat pasif. Sedangkan "boring
adalah kata sifat yang menjelaskan sesuatu hal yang tidak menarik. 'Boring
berartà membosankan dan digunakan dalam kalimat aktif.
Contoh:
1) I was bored in the class that I fell asleep.
Aku bosan
di kelas sampai-sampai aku tertidur.
2) The
movie was so boring that I fell asleep.
Interested &
interesting
'Interested' dan 'interesting'
hampir sama seperti 'bored' dan 'boring'. 'Interested' adalah sebuah
kata sifat yang menjelaskan perasaan seseorang yang senang atau tertarik.
'Interested' berarti 'tertarik' dan digunakan dalam kalimat pasif. Sedangkan
'interesting' adalah kata sifat yang menjelaskan sesuatu hal yang menarik, bisa
pada benda atau manusia. 'Interesting' berarti 'menarik' dan digunakan dalam
kalimat aktif.
Contoh:
1) She
was interested in acting.
Dia
tertarik dengan seni peran/akting.
2) The
movie was so interesting that I watched it for twice.
Film itu

Me, my & I
‘Me' digunakan
sebagai objek suatu kalimat. 'My' adalah kata sifat yang menunjuk pada
suatu kepemilikan, bisa benda atau manusia. Sedangkan ‘I' digunakan sebagai
subjek suatu kalimat.
